[Tokyo] Prisma プリズマ - Hidden Italian Restaurant

Rating: ❤❤❤1/2 (3.5/5)

Prisma has long been on our list of restaurants to try in Tokyo after hearing about it from our friends but never got around to trying it until they recently started offering online reservations. Located in a remote area of Omotesando, the restaurant had no obvious signage on the outside and manned by only the chef and the hostess (presumably the chef's wife?). With only 5 tables in the restaurant, we felt like we were eating at someone's home more than an Italian fine dining restaurant as the atmosphere was very intimate. Prisma is only opened for dinner where a set menu of around 10 courses cost ¥13,000 per person - it may sound like a lot but the portions were rather small so we left feeling just right. We found the flavors lacking in some of the dishes but it was definitely impressive that the chef was able to single-handedly cook everything by himself. The tagliolini and ravioli dishes were standouts as the quality of the pasta was superb and the delicious creme catalan paired with white truffle was our favorite of the meal!
