[Hong Kong] Staycation at The Langham

Another day, another staycation in Hong Kong! This time, it's at The Langham where I had the luxury of staying at its sister property in Pasadena. The hotel embodies luxury with its European elegance and regal decor. Upon our arrival, our eyes were immediately captivated by the opulent lobby with crystal chandeliers and golden hues. We were then escorted to The Langham Club lounge on the 11th floor for a private check-in process (more on the club privileges later).

ROOM:

The hotel offers 498 guest rooms and 27 suites that include its signature Blissful Beds, Nespresso machines and bespoke British minibars. The room type we stayed in was the Executive Room which had been redesigned as a luxury high-rise apartment with a faux fireplace, lounge area, and an Italian-style bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. There wasn't much of a view from our room, but I was more enamored with the cozy fireplace anyways which is a rare sight to see in Hong Kong.

FACILITIES:

Our room came with access to The Langham Club; club privileges include private check-in and check-out in The Ante Room, complementary use of The Library Boardroom, and access to a variety of food and beverage offerings throughout the day from breakfast, afternoon tea to evening cocktails. Like the rest of the hotel, the lounge oozed with European elegance with art pieces and furniture from Hong Kong and London.

For wellness, guests can enjoy a swim on the rooftop swimming pool, exercise at the health club or indulge in a relaxing spa at Chuan.

DINING:

Dining options at The Langham include the 3* Tang Court, Bostonian Seafood & Grill, Main St. Deli, Palm Court and more. During our staycation, we tried the signature Langham afternoon tea with Wedgwood at the Palm Court which had been styled after its namesake at The Langham in London where the tradition of afternoon tea was born over 150 years ago!

Our afternoon tea arrived on beautiful tailor-made Langham Rose Wedgwood tableware. Food quality was high and we especially enjoyed the scones and baked snacks.

Breakfast was served at The Palm Court as well with continental and hot breakfast options; both Western and Asian selections were available.

Thank you Langham for the relaxing staycation!
