During our stay, we dined at its 1* Zijin Mansion 紫金阁 where Hakkanese Chef James Wang serves refined Cantonese cuisine with a Hakka influence. It was a delight to try traditional Hakka dishes such as the lei cha and familiar Cantonese dishes prepared in Hakka style. Highlights of the meal included the signature char siu prepared in 2 different ways, doubled-boiled chicken soup with pork tripe & fish maw, braised red grouper with spicy Zijin sauce, and braised sea cucumber with Hakka preserved vegetables.
