[Macau] Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2018 Press Conference at Wynn Palace
It's just been announced that Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2018 and 2019 will be held at Wynn Palace in Macau! I attended the press conference today for this special announcement where we heard from:
- William Drew, Group Editor of Asia's and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants
- Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office
- Tim Brooke-Webb, Managing Director, Hospitality of William Reed Business Media
- Richard Ekkebus, Executive Chef of Amber, Hong Kong (#3 on 2017 A50BR)
Other chefs that were also in attendance included Shinobu Namae of L'Effervescence, May Chow of Little Bao, Vicky Lau of Tate Dining Room, Hideaki Sato of Ta Vie and many more.
Afterwards, we headed over to Andrea's for lunch where we got to try a special menu prepared by 10 chefs from Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau. Each dish was paired with a special drink and my favorite dish was the Monkfish which had been prepared using French techniques but with a Japanese twist!

Lamb - Manx Loaghtan Lamb Prepared 3 Ways with Shallot Confit, Savoy Cabbage, Carrot, Turnip and Swede
Disznoko Tokaji Eszencia 2006
Autumn - Granny Smith Apples, Pear Sorbet, Caramelized Pecans, Vanilla Chantilly and Coconut Meringue
Citrus - Baba Bouchon, Citrus Syrup, Grapefruit Marmalade, Preserved Grapefruit, Candied Grapefruit Zest and Citrus Cream
Petit Four - Caramel Religieuse, Vanilla and Chocolate Tartlet
