[Tokyo] Eneko Tokyo by Eneko Atxa of 3* Azurmendi
A taste of Basque in Tokyo by Eneko Atxa of 3* Azurmendi - one my favorite restaurants in the world! As part of his international expansion this year, Eneko has launched Eneko London and Eneko Tokyo where the bistro-style restaurants will still allow you to get a taste of his flavors and technique. Although Eneko wasn't at the restaurant personally, his right hand man Matteo Manzini took great care of us and we were reunited with many of our favorite dishes from Azurmendi! Lunch starts from just ¥5000 and dinner from ¥9500.
As we entered the atrium of the restaurant, we realized that this used to be Souen Sakurai Japanese Tea Experience where we had tea tasting last year. We were first led into a "greenhouse" where we we started our meal with a few amuse bouche in a picnic basket along with a glass of Txakoli - just like our experience at Azurmendi!

We had the shorter 3 glass wine pairing (¥2500) with our meal but you can also choose the 5 glass version as well (¥3500).
The Grilled Pigeon with Duxelle and Insides Toast was another signature dish of Eneko's we were thrilled to be reunited with.
Whether you've been to Azurmendi or not, Eneko Tokyo will offer a great dining experience no matter what with its excellent service and food!
