[Thailand: Bangkok] Gaggan at Louis Vuitton
Rating: 4.25/5
"If food was fashion then it would be called GAGGAN”
Located at LV The Place Bangkok, Gaggan at Louis Vuitton is the luxury brand’s first restaurant in Southeast Asia. The two names may seem like an unlikely match at first, but the tasting menu manages to artfully blend the playful and creative dishes by Gaggan with the elegant aesthetics of LV. While the theatrics that one may expect at Gaggan are pared back here, you can still expect signatures such as the Yogurt Explosion and Lick It Up but with LV twists. Favorites of the festive lunch menu included the Momos and World Map which arrived in a globe with 3 dishes, each representing a place that has inspired Gaggan - Thailand, Japan, and Europe (the otoro sushi representing Japan was seriously fantastic). The gorgeous desserts here are by none other than the award-winning Thai pastry Chef Dej Kewkacha. And if you’re not monogrammed out by this point, go for a matcha to round out your meal which comes with a damier pattern on top. Truth be told, I wasn’t sure what to expect at first but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and what is there not to love - a beautiful restaurant with great service and a feast for the eyes and mouth! The Festive Menu:Yoghurt Explosion
