[Singapore] Summer Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Follow me to The Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore - renowned for panoramic views of the city’s skyline from its spacious rooms. Accommodations start from a generous 550 sq ft with views of either Marina Bay or Kallang areas. I stayed in the Deluxe Marina with a living area, walk-in closet, working desk, and marble bathrooms with THE iconic octagonal window above the bathtub. My room came with exclusive access to the Club Lounge on the top floor where champagne is served all day long. 


The hotel takes design and art seriously as it houses one of the largest contemporary art collections in Southeast Asia. One of the coolest things we did was taking an augmented reality art tour around the property where we saw butterflies and beluga 
whale pop up around the art work. You can do a self-guided tour or join one offered by the concierge every day.

The facilities were impressive with a huge outdoor pool, fitness center with state of the art equipment, and luxury spa where I indulged in a bespoke facial featuring exclusive Epicutis skincare products. For dining options, the hotel offers all-day dining at Colony, afternoon tea at The Ritz Lounge, creative cocktails inspired by 1960’s at Republic Bar, and Cantonese cuisine at Summer Pavilion.

During my stay, I had the pleasure of dining at the 1* Summer Pavilion where Hong Kong native chef Cheung Siu Kong has over 35 years of culinary experience. He prepared a special menu to showcase his love for HK with the homey flavors of arrowroot soup, fusion appetizers, signature dim sum, tribute to an iconic dish inspired by the Manchu Han Imperial Feast with a huge estuary grouper skin, and more. We also got to visit the kitchen where the chef demonstrated how to make sweet and sour pork. The fun highlight of the night was the Lo Hei (aka prosperity toss) as everyone chanted auspicious sayings while tossing the salad.
