[Singapore] A Wellness Journey at Oasia Resort Sentosa

During our trip to Singapore, we had a relaxing getaway to Sentosa at Oasia Resort Sentosa! It was my first time to the island and I was surprised at how close it was to the central business district - only 15 minutes away by car. Oasia is a local hotel brand and part of the Far East Hospitality group in Singapore. The resort opened last year with wellness in mind - from spa treatments to complimentary recreational activities for staying guests, there are no shortage of wellness activities for those who want to take a break from city life.

After arriving at the resort, we were greeted with the sight of an expansive lobby with a high ceiling and vertical garden at the end of the hallway - immediately giving off a zen vibe. The check-in process was smooth and informative - we were served a cold-brew tea while the staff helped us sign up for spa treatments and/or any complimentary recreational activities (more on this later) we wanted to do during our stay.

ROOM:

We stayed in the spacious Junior Suite at 40sqm which had a separate living room and a deep soaking tub to unwind with. The floor-to-ceiling windows in our bedroom faced the street which can get a bit noisy during the day depending on traffic but also gave us views of the monorail and nearby attractions.

The king-sized bed was super comfortable and there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom which can be used in lieu of the AC if it feels too cold.

There is a working desk in the bedroom with a TV above it.

The living room is equipped with a minibar fridge along with complimentary Lavazza coffee and Pryce tea. There is another smart TV here where you can access the hotel's TV channel for curated fitness and wellness programs that you can do in the comfort of your own room.

The bathroom had a deep-soaking bathtub and separate shower area along with a his and hers sink unit and Biology branded bath amenities.

FACILITIES:

One of the biggest draw in the hotel's facilities is its own proprietary spa brand Oasia Spa. While we didn't try any spa treatments during our stay, we did partake in one of the complimentary wellness activities offered by the spa's trained professional to learn how to make a bath bomb - it was quite fun and we got to put it to good use right away in the bathtub in our room! Other classes offered include tea appreciation, balm-making and more.

In addition to wellness activities, the hotel also offers complimentary fitness classes like aqua zumba and yoga which take place around the swimming pool area. There is also a gym on site that is opened 24 hours.

DINING:

The hotel has one all-day dining restaurant onsite - Bedrock Origin. As the sister restaurant of Bedrock Bar & Grill in the city which specializes in steak, Bedrock Origin also features steaks that are dry-aged in-house along with new seafood offerings that are served raw and on the grill.

During our stay, we had lunch at the restaurant and my favorites included the Smoked Tomato Soup, Roasted Bone Marrow Beef Tartare, Japanese Wagyu Steak, Turbot on the Bone and Truffle Mac N Cheese!

Breakfast is also served at Bedrock Origin and a mix of western and local choices are available. I had the highly recommended Barramundi Mixed Oat Congee with locally farmed Kuhlbarra barramundi belly, egg floss and Chinese fried dough fritter and it's easy to see why it's so popular - it was packed with flavor and the generous portion is more than enough for 2 people! We also tried one of the western options - poached eggs with smoked salmon - and both breakfasts came with a bowl of fruits on the side.

Thank you Oasia Resort for the relaxing stay! We had an action packed week in Singapore and it was good to be able to wind down at the resort where we got to explore the beaches on Sentosa.
