A poetic celebration of China’s plant-based natural bounty in China at 2* Lamdre! The summer menu featured ingredients grown in the red soil from regions including Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, and Jiangsu. One of my favorite dish was the bamboo shoot with bamboo fungus egg and bamboo bird’s nest - a dish that demonstrates nature’s endless gift by showcasing bamboo shoots in different parts of its lifecycle, depending on one another for growth. It was an eye-opening journey into the plant-based ingredients in China and I look forward to exploring more of that at Lamdre.
