[Macau] "Sail and Stay" at Mandarin Oriental

If you want a quick getaway from Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental in Macau is offering a  “Sail and Stay” package with complimentary ferry transfers from Hong Kong to Macau and limousine transfers between the ferry terminal and the hotel! With activities like afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge, dinner with wine pairing at Vida Rica, and couple's spa treatment, MO Macau is perfect for those seeking a quiet relaxing time away from the bustling casino scene.

Towering over the Macau waterfront, the hotel offers spectacular views of Nam Van Lake and Macau Bay from each of its guestrooms. We stayed in the Deluxe Lake View Room and were treated with a full frontal view of the Macau Tower!

At night we were also blessed with a colorful and vibrant sunset over the city.

While MO Macau may not be one of the newest hotels in Macau, the interiors are contemporary and elegant which is consistent with the luxury brand.

It's always nice to be welcomed with a personalized card and some complimentary welcome treats!

I loved these his and hers plush slippers in MO colors.

Another feature I loved about the room is the bath tub which shares the same view of Macau Tower and Nam Van Lake from the bedroom!

After settling in our room for a bit, we headed downstairs to the Lobby Lounge to enjoy a beautiful afternoon tea set along with an extensive tea selection (including an exclusive Macau blend of green tea with red fruits, fresh water blossoms and lotus) and of course champagne! The Mandarin Cake Shop never disappoints and both the savory and sweet treats were lovely.

At night we had dinner with wine pairing at Vida Rica - the all-day restaurant at the hotel where both Chinese and Western cuisines are offered. We had a tasting menu and started our meal with some refreshing cocktails from the Vida Rica Bar.

Canadian Lobster with Lobster Tartar, Pata Negra, Semi-dried Melon and Edamame

Chestnut Soup with Chestnut Crumble and Pan-fried Scallop

Wagyu Tenderloin and Foie Gras with Truffle Potato Mash, Green Asparagus and Madeira Jus

Elderflower Chantilly with Guava & Strawberry Sorbet, Almond Sponge, Fresh Berries and Warm Berry Sauce

The next morning we had breakfast in the room where J chose the Western breakfast with omelette and pastries while I chose the Chinese one which came with congee, noodles, soup and dim sum!

Lastly we enjoyed a couple's spa treatment with custom-blended oils in a suite overlooking the Macau Tower. The therapists were really attentive and focused on areas that we had mentioned on the questionnaire filled out prior to the treatment - it was truly one of the best massages we've ever had and the perfect ending to our relaxing weekend getaway!
