[Hong Kong] Aberdeen Street Social x FeedMe Guru Exclusive Menu in August

I was back at Aberdeen Street Social earlier this week to try the new exclusive 6-course menu by the restaurant's collaboration with FeedMe Guru which is only available for the month of August! The restaurant is the third collaboration between Michelin-star chef Jason Atherton and JIA Group, and the food served is modern British cuisine with a focus on bar bites, desserts and cocktails as well. My last visit was a few years ago when it first opened and while I wasn't wholly impressed with the food back then, this visit definitely changed my mind as the quality of the dishes and value for money were quite high - the exclusive 6-course menu costs only $450 per person with an option to enjoy cocktails, wine and beer for an additional $50 which can be booked here: https://goo.gl/aK4x2W

We started with these addictive delicious Nori Rice Crackers with squid ink aioli along with the house made whole wheat bread that I've enjoyed here last time as well.

The English Heirloom Tomato Salad with homemade ricotta, onion seed and aged balsamic vinaigrette was refreshingly sweet and I especially enjoyed the fresh flavors of the tomatoes.

The Pan-roasted Hokkaido Scallops with truffled cauliflower puree and home grown radish tops was perfectly balanced in flavor but I thought the scallops could have been more raw. 

My favorite dish of the menu has got to be this super tender Chargrilled M5 Australian Wagyu Rump with roasted gem lettuce "Caesar style"! The marbled beef was cooked to medium rare which was full of juicy flavors while I also enjoyed the creative take on the Caesar salad.

The dessert was on point as well as I loved the Frozen Dark Chocolate and Peanut Parfait with roasted banana ice cream and cookie crumble which was well-balanced and not too sweet. 

The Petit Fours looked harmless at first with a lemon marshmallow and sour candy but the chocolate on the bottom was surprisingly spicy!
