[Hong Kong] Beef & Liberty - New Weekend Brunch in LKF

New weekend brunch alert! Most people go to Beef & Liberty for the burgers but now the restaurant has upped its weekend brunch game with exciting new offerings such as Avocado & Ricotta Toast, Mac N' Cheese Sandwich and Breakfast Tiramisu! You can try these creative dishes from new Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky along with Shandy Specials (beer cocktails) that are only available at the Lan Kwai Fong branch. If you want to drink your heart out, you can also get two hours of free flow beer, prosecco, bloody mary and wine for an additional $178. J and I went for brunch last weekend and we ended up trying all of the dishes on the brunch menu in addition to a new Christmas burger!

The Eggs & Soldiers ($48) with two crispy eggs, maple bacon, Maldon sea salt and white toasted buttered soldiers was my absolute favorite on the brunch menu! The sweetened bacon was delicious to eat with the soft egg yolk and crispy toasts - I mean what's there not to love about eggs, bacon and toast?

The Mac N' Cheese Sandwich ($68) with elbow pasta, Isle of Mull cheddar, Parmesan, chives, tomato, creme fraiche and bacon jam was an interesting twist on Mac N' Cheese. I really liked the crispy Parmesan crust while the jam was surprising tasty.

The Avocado & Ricotta Toast ($78) with smashed avocado, homemade ricotta, parsley, extra virgin olive oil and toasted sourdough is one for people who prefer a healthy breakfast but I thought the flavors were a bit too sour here for me.

The Beans & Liberty ($78) with braised white beans, slow roasted pork shoulder, pork crackling and soft poached egg was a play on the restaurant's namesake. It was a hearty dish and we were instructed to mix everything together before eating.

The Breakfast Tiramisu ($48) with honey yogurt, organic granola and mixed berries was surprising light as the yogurt was rather foamy and airy so it wasn't too thick and filling for the size.

We then got to try the new exclusive Christmas burger - Holy Duck ($98) with slow confit duck leg and braised grandmother's red cabbage with cinnamon, orange, star anise which will only be served from November 22nd to January 8th! The top of the duck was seared nicely while the cabbage served as a nice balance for the meat.

Lastly, we enjoyed The King ($78) with hamburger buns, cinnamon sugar, Nutella, caramelized bananas, roasted hazelnuts and crispy bacons as dessert! The rich and luscious dessert was like a French toast but with hamburger buns instead - don't leave without try this!

I just thought it was funny that the milk jar for my iced coffee was in the shape of a cow!
